the family guy

family guy (seasons 4-present) is

so under-appreciated

so put-down

so disregarded.

it's nice to see they are FINALLY getting their proper recognition.

i think a lot of it is thanks to the brilliance of this man:

and yes, as much as i love

the simpsons

futurama

and

south park,

family guy is so often trashed and thrown aside as being stupid/unfunny

that it makes it extra special.

NOTE: it's been such a long time (50 years) since the Emmys have done this, and so out of the ordinary for the normally tame Academy (they would so recognize a classic like the Simpsons first) that I'm some what worried that this is all going to end up as a fluke. hopefully not though.
